Without us, life will go on. Believe that.
Unpocalypse
Beyond the green
the dot that grows
a promise of life
as was once known
there rose a wall
before my face
spikes and glass
coat its gates
I stand there
at its front
until it rises
with groaning grunts
beyond the wall
there is a man
seventy feet tall
with giant’s hands
massive beast
with eyes so young
he looks at me
“Why’ve you come?”
“I seek a place to call a home.
A place surrounded–wrapped in stone.”
“Then you come in.
You have a sit.
Me big, but not all so legit.”
I have to smile
at what he said.
A giant boy
with a monstrous head
but in I go
and there I stop
not a human before me
but the strangest stock
while man was hiding beneath the ground
so many things came bravely out
I wonder where they’ve been all this time. Maybe hiding, maybe sleeping… maybe just sneaking around. Have a great day.
